Estimates, not guarantees

Results are deterministic estimates from your inputs, your prices and standard reference conventions (tankless BTU/hr = GPM × 500 × ΔT; pressure head = psi × 2.31; pipe volume = 0.0408 × diameter² × length; drain fall = length × slope; gas CFH = BTU/hr ÷ heating value). Real projects vary — verify measurements and figures before relying on them, and always get itemized written quotes from licensed plumbers.

Not a bid, not a price index

Cost tools give planning estimates from your own prices, not bids or contracts, and we store no material or service price list, labor-rate database or regional cost index.

Pipe, drain, vent & sizing — local code governs

Pipe, drain, vent and gas sizing follows standard reference conventions (IPC / UPC / NFPA-54-style), but your local plumbing code and inspector govern. Sizing methods, materials, setbacks and permit rules vary by jurisdiction. Confirm the design with a licensed plumber, pull the required permit and get the required inspection before you build. Nothing here is engineering design or a code-compliance certificate.

Gas safety

All gas work must be performed by a licensed professional. A permit and inspection are required and gas leaks are dangerous (fire, explosion and carbon-monoxide risk). The gas tools are for planning only and are not a substitute for a licensed gas fitter or a code-official sign-off.

No financial advice

The savings, comparison and ROI tools are illustrative math on the figures you enter — not financial advice. Energy prices, water rates, usage and product performance vary, and savings are never guaranteed. For sizing, design, permitting or financing decisions, consult a qualified professional.
